If you have received a letter to advise that you are in a high risk group and should shield, the above helpline will connect you with the local authority. Help available covers, essential food and medicines. Also social work, emotional support and volunteer services.
NHS Inform guidance now is that any patients with a new continuous cough and / or fever should manage their symptoms at home without contacting their GP, 111 or Pharmacy. If these symptoms worsen, patients should call 111 across the whole 24 hour period.
TO ENSURE PATIENT AND STAFF SAFETY AND THE ABILITY FOR THE PRACTICE TO STAY OPERATIONAL, WE ASK PATIENTS TO CONTACT US IF THEY FEEL THEIR ISSUE IS URGENT. CONSULTATIONS WILL INITIALLY BE BY TELEPHONE. SHOULD THE DOCTOR FEEL YOU NEED SEEN THIS WILL BE ARRANGED.
ALL ROUTINE NURSE APPOINTMENTS WILL BE REARRANGED. URGENT REVIEWS WILL GO AHEAD AS NORMAL.
